Assistant Professor Tenure Track
The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma, Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences seeks a passionate and innovative social work researcher and educator to join our dynamic faculty team beginning August 2023. We are especially interested in candidates who can build collaborative ties with other departments within the school and university through their research, teaching and/or service. We invite applications for a 9-month tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor based on either the Norman or Tulsa campus.
The School seeks to expand tenure track research, service, and teaching into our expanding Online MSW program. We value candidates with collaborative experience as well as those with competence in online educational environments. Position responsibilities include developing and maintaining an active research agenda that fits all qualifications related to success on the tenure track in the broad areas of social determinants of health and well-being and who can teach advanced macro or micro social work practice. Teaching assignments will include online (synchronous or asynchronous) graduate and/or doctoral courses (load of 2+2).

Norman is a culturally rich and vibrant town located just outside Oklahoma City. With outstanding schools, amenities, and a low cost of living, Norman is a perennial contender on the "Best Places to Live" rankings. Visit soonerway.ou.edu for more information. Tulsa (www.cityoftulsa.org/) was recently voted as one of the top 10 places to live by Relocate America and is an economically sound and close-knit community located in the Green Country of Northeastern Oklahoma. A burgeoning art scene, which includes four art museums, and a revitalized downtown area only add to the sense of activity and culture that are available in Tulsa. Known to its citizens as more of a big town rather than a small city, Tulsa is a choice place to live, with "community" being one of its strong points. Tulsa has a rich cultural legacy that is worth not only exploring but living within as well.
