East Stroudsburg University's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is looking for Instructor(s)/Adjunct(s)) to teach “Advanced Clinical Practicum”! Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country's largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.

The adjunct position is part-time for instructors to supervise graduate students for their on-campus clinical experiences. Supervision will require at least two days per week and must be done at the campus clinic. Applicants must become familiar with and follow the supervision requirements of both the department and the accrediting agency. The position requires possible afternoon and evening hours.

ESU's Communication Sciences and Disorders Department offers undergraduate and graduate programs of study that lead to a Bachelor of Science/Master of Science degree. The program offers a comprehensive foundation of courses and an opportunity for students to meet all knowledge and skill requirements to prepare students to excel in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent field
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence – SLP
  • PA professional license in speech-language pathology or eligible
  • Supervisory experience including ASHA required supervisory training
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA as it relates to clients
  • Available a minimum of two days per week including possible afternoon and evening hours
