Job Summary

Coordinates and administers the operational support activities associated with the College of Law General Faculty Program. Demonstrates broad decision-making authority, judgement and independence, and originates new concepts or approaches.
  • Provides administrative, academic, and instructional support to faculty, supporting Assistant and Associate Deans, and Adjuncts with daily activities. Facilitates communication between students and professors to ensure efficient operations of the department, including law review support.
  • Coordination and facilitation of specific activities/tasks/assignments for the business unit/department, such as course scheduling and space allocation, program promotion, and recruitment, event planning, including catering, accommodations, and meeting sites, logistics, invitations, flyers, and duplication of pertinent materials. Participates in and arranges after-hours and weekend events as required.
  • Monitors status of projects. Analyzes program data, develops reports, and oversees activities.
  • Assists with the preparation of relevant documents for onward submission to the American Association of Law Schools, preparation and distribution of faculty tenure and non-tenure promotion files and correspondence, and preparation and distribution of ABA accreditation files.
  • Monitors account/expenditures and reconciles statements. Advises management on budgetary needs or discrepancies. Assist in the coordination/preparation of strategic plans in support of the program or service.
  • Serves as liaison between program participants and the university community. Trains, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of others and is highly accountable to the work of the program, as required. Assures that the staff are compliant with university policies and procedures.
  • Administer and complete employee performance reviews as required. Oversees the payroll activities for accuracy and completeness on a biweekly basis.
  • Assists with the preparation of travel authorizations, expense reports, requisitions and procurement card transactions and reconciliation in PantherSoft as needed. Serves as a University card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University credit card policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.

  • Knowledge of advanced features in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication (oral & written) skills.
  • Strong problem resolution skills.
