We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Funding Team!
The Funding Leader* is responsible for the daily operations of the Funding Team. The Funding Leader will be responsible for the effective design, delivery and evolution of the people and processes within the Funding function. The Funding Leader will be responsible for ensuring that the proper efficiencies and controls are in place to safeguard GreatAmerica’s assets. The Funding Team Leader makes decisions based on data, along with insights from stakeholders, to ensure we are meeting targets for service, productivity, and team member engagement.
This role will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. This role requires a person that is self-directed with strong communication, analytical, influential leadership, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
As an Accounts Payable Leader, You’ll:
- Implements and maintains systems, procedures, and policies to ensure the function is performing optimally.
- Provide support during audits, as requested.
- Champion improvements within the function needed, including but not limited to, sponsoring and leading functional initiative projects, and policy/procedure changes.
- Periodically reviewing, tracking, and reporting the team performance metrics and financial reporting information to internal leadership. Provide recommendations for improvements and ensure implementation.
- Ensure high-potential team members are actively developed and prepared for future leadership.
- Aptitude to work in a mode of continual improvement and ability to prioritize work.
- Lead role in statutory requirements such as, 1099 processing and unclaimed property reporting. Own and drive development throughout the team on these processes.
- Acts in accordance with GreatAmerica’s core values, serving as a role model and coach to others.
- Creates a team environment conducive to high performance and morale, consistent with GreatAmerica principles.
Essential Functions
Relationships:
- Provide ownership and key point of contact for the Business Capability.
- Collaborate with business units and capabilities throughout the organization to develop and foster relationships.
- Understand priorities of various corporate, business unit, and functional leadership.
Communication:
- Develop strong lines of communication with all internal stakeholders.
- Regularly communicate strategic direction and status of all outstanding requests/projects to leadership.
Execution:
- Internally, must interface with various departments and functional teams.
- Strong project management skills.
Innovation:
- Identify potential solutions that address the needs of the function.
- Work with other areas throughout Finance and the Company to drive implementation of solutions.

- Strong business acumen. Ability to understand the underlying business issues.
- Problem solving attitude, with focus on improving processes with a disciplined approach.
- Demonstrated self-starter who is goal oriented, a critical thinker and a creative problem solver.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
- Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Access, Microsoft Outlook, Epicor, Salesforce, PowerPoint
- Ten-key calculator, ability to multi-task, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to meet deadlines, ability to be a strong positive team player.
