The News Virginian is seeking a journalist for our Waynesboro, Virginia newspaper located in the hills of the Shenandoah Valley.
Our newspapers provide hyper-local coverage for communities in Waynesboro, Staunton and Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Candidates should have experience writing and editing local government, education, business and sports stories, as well as editorials and columns. This job requires a candidate to be a self-starter who can multitask and juggle breaking news and longer-term story planning.
A qualified candidate would also have a knack for developing strong community connections and making great local content - from stories to photos to video and more - the top priority.
