The Quad-City Times and Moline Dispatch-Argus is seeking a versatile and motivated sports journalist and copy editor with strong storytelling and breaking news skills to join our team.
Our two-state coverage area features approximately 45 high schools, several small colleges and the University of Iowa along with minor league baseball and hockey along with indoor football, an annual PGA Tour stop and one of the country's top road races each summer.
We're looking for a well-rounded reporter who is comfortable in all facets of a beat, from writing game stories to player profiles and enterprise reporting. We want someone with good time management and organizational skills, including the ability to deliver on deadline. Desk work will be required a couple nights per week. Copyediting experience is preferred.
We'd prefer candidates with previous newsroom experience, but recent college graduates with strong clips will be considered. We welcome diversity in our newsroom.
