Summary:
The VCU School of Education's Child Development Center is seeking to hire five part-time Center Assistants to support the CDC in providing high-quality care and education by assisting with center activities. General duties are:
- Provide instructional support to classroom teachers.
- Provide direct student assistance or supervision.
- Assist a classroom teachers in planning and implementing daily activities.
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting.
- Some college coursework.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills required.
- A professional attitude and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to follow set policies and procedures and adhere to regularity guidelines in daily work.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
- Bachelor's degree
- First Aid / CPR certification
